If someone would have told me 10 months ago I’d be working full time in Leeds for a security and facilities management business, I’d have told them they were very much mistaken.
Yet here I am and I’m delighted to take up my role at White Star as Customer Experience Manager.
My journey here has not been a conventional one. I started working here one day a week in June 2018 as part of my work with Fresh Thinking.
Originally, I was brought in to the business to help design and execute a process driven business development plan to add to the fantastic foundations that Dan Mottram and his team have built over the last 5 years.
One day per week gave me the opportunity to be strategic in planning and design, but allowed me no time to get hands on with customer relationships, something that I really enjoy.
As the new law on GDPR came into effect last year, I’m calling for an open-minded approach to sharing data in order to reduce business risk and crime.
As you would expect, huge amounts of data are collected by private security companies from their customers in relation to incidents that have happened in their business. The proactive providers should utilise this data to try to predict what will happen in the future based on the trend, then adapting the security solution based on the new information should reduce the risk to the customer.
Some Facts & Figures Around The Importance Of Defib Units
Each year in Britain around 30,000 people are struck by sudden cardiac arrest out-side of hospital environments. They can affect anyone at any time – from young chil-dren at school, to adults when they’re at home, work or out in public places.
If victims aren’t treated properly, more often than not, cardiac arrests are fatal. The British Heart Foundation’s figures show that only one in ten victims survive. There are a couple of reasons for this sorry figure – namely the lack of accessible defibrilla-tors and a distinct lack of education and training.
